As She Prepares to Leave Office, Our One-on-One with Rep Jeanne Ives (R): The Future of Illinois Republicans, Fixing Illinois, and Her Future

Springfield – In March of 2018, Rep Ives came very close to taking the Republican nomination for governor away from Bruce Rauner. She argued in part, that Rauner didn’t represent the spirit of the Republican Party.

Now, as she is nearing the end of her time in public office, with her term up in early January, we get her thoughts on the future of the Illinois Republican Party, what she would now be doing if she were Governor-Elect to get the state’s finances fixed, and what the future may hold for Jeanne Ives, who many Republicans say is who they identify with as their political leader.
