Higher Education Reform Package Designed to Keep Students in Illinois

As the Spring Session of the legislature drew to a close, a package of legislative reforms were offered by a bipartisan group of lawmakers.

The legislative package of bills was designed to address a series of issues that have caused one in three Illinois high school students to decide to attend college outside the state.

With the multiple years of no budget being passed, and state support of higher education declining, these lawmakers moved to offer changes to help students, families, and the public universities around Illinois
