Divorced Parents Seek Equality and Equal Time in Child Rearing

State Capitol: Rep LaShawn Ford (D) sponsored HB-4113, a bill intended to ensure that both parties in a divorce are presumed to be equally qualified as a parent and having the right to share equally in the time they get with their children after the divorce.

We speak with Rep Ford just after his bill was voted out of committee about why he felt so strongly that it needs to become law.

But first, we speak with two fathers and advocates for its passage, as we hear why they argue this is needed to protect the best interests of the children after a divorce occurs.
