What to do About Stopping Opioid Deaths and Addictions

From the City Club of Chicago: A panel, including former US Congressman, Patrick Kennedy, who faced his own addictions in the past, discuss the explosive spread of opioid addictions and deaths across the nation, and what can be done to stop it.

The panel is hosted by Cook County Board President, Toni Preckwinkle, who points out the problem of opioid deaths in Cook County is rising so rapidly, that between 2015 and 2016, the number of victims increased 70%, from 647 to 1,091 deaths — more than deaths from murder or automobile accidents.
