Gov. Rauner Tours Tornado Damage in Naplate (3/1/17)

Naplate: The day after a tornado hit the town killing one man, and destroying a number of buildings, Gov Rauner and members of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, toured Naplate to see the destruction.

As the Governor and local lawmakers toured the area, they stopped to talk with residents about their experiences the night before, when the tornado hit — one of at least four tornadoes to hit Illinois as a series of strong storms rolled across the state.  The governor and members of his administration, leadership from IEMA, spoke with reporters on the damage and the recovery efforts.
