Gov Rauner and Republican Legislative Leaders’ Press Conference Following the Vote on the Stop-Gap Funding bill

From the State Capitol:  After 18 months of operating state government without a funded spending plan, Gov Rauner and Republican legislative leaders discuss the vote to pass SB-2047, that funded K-12 education for the full year, and state government operations for six months — until the end of the 2016 calendar year.   Gov Rauner tells reporters why this may be a change that applies for the future of state operations, and why he continues to hold on to his agenda items, that he says are critical to head Illinois into the right direction.
