Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump has fired his Campaign Manager, Corey Lewandowski. The move comes after a few rough weeks, in which Donald Trump has made a series of gaffes, and has seen his standing in the polls slip.
Beyond the slippage in the polls a number of senior Republican leaders continue to withhold support for his candidacy, with a number of Republican Senators and Governors — including Illinois Senator Mark Kirk, and Gov Rauner, saying they will skip the Republican National Convention to be held in Cleveland in mid-July.
Lewandowski was seen by many as unnecessarily combative, clashing with both reporters and other members of the Trump Campaign. Lewandowski is being replaced by senior Trump advisor, Paul Manafort.
