From the Press Briefing Room at the State Capitol: members of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association meet with reporters in the wake of the Illinois Supreme Court overturning a law that placed limits on damages in medical malpractice cases. This law had limited non-economic damages to $500,000 for doctors and $1,000,000 for hospitals.

 

From the Union League Club of Chicago: a panel of Chicago journalists review the primary election results and what they may mean for the Republican and Democratic parties in the fall election.

 

From Western Illinois University in Macomb: a conversation with Western Illinois University President Al Goldfarb. We hear what effect the state’s financial crisis is having on WIU and what President Goldfarb thinks of the role higher education is playing in rebuilding the Illinois economy.
