From the University of Illinois in Urbana: we hear portions of testimony presented before the Illinois Admissions Review Commission by three University of Illinois Presidents.† Former Presidents James Stukel and Stanley Ikenberry and current President B. Joseph White testify on admission policies and how pressure was used to admit students who were politically connected.† Following the testimony, we get reactions from two members of the Illinois Admissions Review Commission: Commissioner Bernard Judge and Chairman Abner Mikva.

 

From Springfield: State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias announces his entry into the race for United States Senate.† Following his announcement, he takes reportersí questions about fundraising and policy positions.

 

From the State Capitol in Springfield: Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, Justin Oberman, tells us why he is running and reviews some of his previous experience in the Federal government.
