Flooding Along the Ohio River Brings Gov Pritzker to Metropolis

Metropolis, February 26, 2019 – The flooding along the Ohio river has marooned the city’s casino, and threatened portions of the downtown business community. High School students were taking time to make sandbags and work with others to keep the waters away from homes and businesses.

Gov Pritzker toured the area with his head of IEMA, and several area lawmakers, as they discuss the efforts by the state to lend resources to the local communities affected.
