From the City Club of Chicago – Jim Dodge, who has an MBA in Finance shares his plans on making the Illinois Treasurer’s office more highly focused on core function, with a goal of making the office a “champion for taxpayers.”
Mr Dodge lays out his views on how the Treasurer’s office is now engaged in programs that have diverted it from its primary functions, and that the office should play a larger role in warning lawmakers and citizens of the financial impact of proposed policies.
Mr Dodge, as the Republican candidate for State Treasurer, is running against the incumbent, Michael Frerichs.
