Funding Mass Transit in Chicago’s Metropolitan Area

From the State Capitol:  We talk with fmr Senator Kirk Dillard, who now heads the regional transportation agency, responsible for mass transit in Chicago and the surrounding areas.

Mr Dillard tells us about the need to update the out-dated passenger rail cars, which are 60 years old in some cases.  We also hear about the millions of passengers who rely on mass transit in Chicagoland, and how a loss of support would have a major impact on the area highways should mass transit be unavailable.
