We hear from opponents to a bill that would add Nuclear generated power to be included in the “clean energy” provisions of the electric purchasing agreement. Excelon, the corporation that owns ComEd, is one of the largest nuclear powered electric generation firms in the nation. They’ve said that if they do not have this bill, that they would be forced to close as many as four nuclear facilities in Illinois.
