“Lincoln” screenwriter Tony Kushner on Historical Movie Making

From the Union League Club of Chicago, February, 2013: In the wake of the movie “Lincoln” we hear a panel discuss how the film was written and produced. And how it managed to tell the history of the political battle to pass the 13th amendment.  We hear from the movie’s screen writer, Tony Kushner and noted Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer.  The panel is moderated by Daniel Weinberg of the Abraham Lincoln bookshop.
